In 2015, Ms. Attal received her B.A. in History with Distinction from the University of Michigan. At the University of Michigan, she was an active leader of conversation circles for international students and visiting professors. Her love of spaces of cultural exchange led her to a career in teaching English as a Second Language in Seoul, South Korea.
After five years of teaching, she returned to the United States where she received her law degree from Maurer School of Law at Indiana University – Bloomington. At Maurer, Ms. Attal was the president of the Middle Eastern Students Association and a peer mentor to incoming law students. As a law student, Ms. Attal centered her coursework and clinical experiences on immigration law. She consulted students on immigration matters at Indiana University’s Student Legal Services clinic, and she worked on an asylum case with the National Immigrant Justice Center. In the summer of 2023, she clerked at the prominent Korean law firm, Kim & Chang, in Seoul.
Ms. Attal began her career after law school at Antone, Casagrande & Adwers. She has experience in both family and business immigration matters.
